Do I have too much hp for an otherwise stock truck?
I'm gonna be putting in my stage 5 injectors and tapping my comp before BD dyno days, and I was wondering if my EGT's are going to be too high for my mods to be of any use, and I was also wondering how my tranny will hold up. Everything is stock unless listed in my Sig, and the truck is an auto.

I have a 2000 also with stage 5 jammers, comp and I can not run the comp with the injectors EGT are ok with a 5" exhaust but the turbo does not flow anough air. I am running a tripple disc TC and your stock with not hold.

Your tranny is going to last maybe one WOT run and that's it if it even lasts that long. Your turbo is going to look at you and laugh. To hold that kind of power your going to need a fully built tranny and at least a KSB1.

Stage 5's and a Comp, huh? That little HY will be spitting lava from the outlet if you hold at WOT for too long. The TC will not be even remotely close to hanging to that kind of torque, either. You are stepping into the realm of big power here. A REALLY good TC coupled with a built tranny is your only option if you care about longevity. And as Blue mentioned, with that much fuel, there isn't much point in considering anything less than a full B1 or similar turbo.
Well i think after a couple long hard runs you will be calling a tow truck and getting a new tranny along with a new short block because youre going to cook the pistons. Your turbo and exhaust are to small to handle that kind of fuel and horsepower. That truck is going to have to breathe alot better(air in and air out).

well, I just finished tapping the comp, haven't driven it yet, so we'll see how my egts do with just that. The problem with turbos is that theyre expensive...lol. Until I can afford a better turbo I'm going to run dual 4" and a type of RAM air system...hopefully that will help a bunch.
