Do Formula 1 injectors work?

Do Formula 1 injectors by Don M~ really work?

Well I would say so..... How about 577 Hp and over 1100 Lbs Torque (using a negative correction factor), all with a single B series turbo, Comp Box, and a set of Formula 1 injectors.

Best I ever did before with huge Bully Dog, DD, or Buddha Power injectors with virtually same setup was 515 HP.

Dons injectors have always done at least what he rates them at. Usually a little more. I drive m6s on the street every day with no problems. I got right at 20mpg driving back and forth to Pa(Fall brawl)last weekend and turned 622+hp. Never a studder. Still on the stock head gasket also, how bout you Doug? Tim

Yes they work. Just curious which ones are you using?

I've been using the Mach series going on close to 2 years now. Love them just as much as the day I got them. Don is always working to improve them as well.

Going from Mach 4's back down to 2's until I can find some more air.

Mr. Doug,,, it seems I may have missed a call from you...

A set of edm's we dyno'd not too long ago put down 583. Without a box, and the same seup you have.

Add a box, and Doug, sir, you are behind the 8 ball again... So,, I'll watch my phone more carefully...

Merrick,

I saw the trucks dyno chart that you are speaking of and it did well. But the HP really dropped off fast...... As I recall he made peak HP around 2700 rpm and was down over 100 HP by 3200. With the setup I have I held onto max HP all the way to 3250. I was also running a negative correction factor and I believe that the other truck had a 3% correction factor so that would be 586 uncorrected for him and 599 uncorrected for my truck. So I would say the trucks are not too much different in HP, but the amount of $$ spent is quite different as I only have a box, turbo, and injectors. Now I am not saying his truck doesn't run great I am just pointing out a few things here.

Besides the next day I went out and towed our horse loaded trailer up in the mountains for my wife and I to ride. Now at first the box was on level 1 but the egt's never got over 1100* even pushing it so I turned the box up to 3 and off we went.

Jets truck made 599 uncorrected Merrick. The 577 numbers posted were the SAE negatively corrected numbers.

Rays truck made 583 with no box and 604 with the box. Only a 21 HP increase. This directly translates to additional smoke with the box off. In keeping with the tradition we started with major smoke improvements over other injectors we dont make injectors that make huge power without a box. Smoke control is paramount.

Rays numbers were 3% positive correction. 583/1.03 is 566 uncorrected with no box. The 604/1.03 is reduced to 586 actual HP.

If you add the 3% to Jets 599 uncorrected run you get 616 HP.

Finally, we dyno tested the Redline box back to back and found a 10 HP increase in top numbers over other boxes using a Mach 6. Same dyno, same day.

Jet did not have the Redline. He used the Edge Comp. Ray had the Redline when he made those numbers. Is it safe to say we can increase Jets numbers, in theory by 10 HP? That would/could be 626. Hmmmm.

Not to take anything away. Ray did great! But I know that Jet is NOT behind any 8 ball in this case.

Jetpilot,
Do you have the dyno graph so we can see the HP curve.

This run was SAE corrected at negative 4% . Raw uncorrected HP was 559.2 HP. 40 PSI of boost!
