DIY Tranny

I am just looking ahead.

I want to rebuild my auto tranny myself and wanted to know where I could get some good how to info. I've seen quite a few post about TC,s and valve bodies but I would like to know the rest of the tranny.

Diy

I recently rebuilt my auto. I purchsed both the ATS manual and the factory service manual. I also got myself a video on the Torqueflite 727 transmission which the 47re is based on. All of which were of help to me in my rebuild. I think goerend has some short video clips of assembly of some parts of the Dodge transmission. You will need some special tools to dis assemble and assemble the trans and the overdrive unit. If you search here you will find pictures of the tools you need. It was not an easy job, but I am rather proud of myself for tackling the job and suceeding.
Cheers
Alan

Thanks
my plans are to gather everything I need then pull, rebuild and reinstall I have no real problems yet other than not shifting the way I would like, but plan on adding more mods and need a stronger tranny.
