Dr. Evil I am with you on this one. I to am interested in these tires. I want the 315's. I have heard and read good reviews on them. Just would like to know how they hold up to the weight of the ctd.

my buddie ran a set on his 92 ford f250 idi. the tires seperated in less than 10k miles. i would tell you to stay far away. they would not warrenty them at all.

Those are nice looking tires, I would only use them for summers though as wide tires are useless and dangerous in the winter. But I want a tire that lasts more than 10k miles especially for the price that those big tires go for..
Thanks gunracer

What size are you looking for? I noticed the only load range E they have is a 265.

I've never run the FC, but the Mud Country tires I had didn't last that long. I stay away from anything that Mickey Thompson does as far as tires, most of them have a really soft tread compound that doesn't wear well.

well hell I guess I can forget about going with them - those damned tire shop guys will tell you just about anything to sell a set of treads.

I was looking for 315's....but I need something that wears really well, is semi aggressive AND is good on ice and snow. So I guess Im back to square one - BFG AT K/O's does anyone have any other recommendations??? The other tires I have been looking at is the Toyo Open Country M/T's.....

I am also looking for a new set of tires. I was looking at the Baja Mtx's from Mickey Thompson. A couple of friends have these tires on a jeep and F150. They have been holding up last time I looked which has been about 8 months ago. I have the 315 BFG's on my 02 and they are a good looking tire and pretty good traction. On my wifes 98, I want to put a set of 305's on it. I have plenty of time over here in iraq to check out the latest tires that I am going to put on her truck for the summer and the best I have seen so far are the MTX's for the money. Hope that helps.

I cant imagine Swampers would get much longer wear than the Mickey's

I'm partial to the YOKOHAMA tires. I use the SuperDigger 5 and tried the Geolander AT.. I liked both of em..

The other hot tire around these parts are the Bridgestone REVO's But they are pretty spendy.

I really like the Bridgestones, but I think I might end up going with the Toyos for a 315 for the summer. They arent too aggressive, but they will fill my wheel well nicely and I have heard they wear really good.

I get about 40-45K/set if I keep them rotated. My experience with the MT tires is that they're even softer than the Swampers, at least the SSR's I run.
