DDP Vs. Formula One
Well Im almost in the market for some new sticks. I love the Mach 1.75's that Im currently running, but have heard alot of good things about the Dyno-mite injectors too. I am going to be running a HX35-14/HT3B twin setup in the next month or so. And Im curious as to what size to go with since I tow. I was originally thinking of going with a stage 4 in either manufacturer which is 150 hp. I have been running the F1 95hp sticks on my stock turbo with my boxes low and have had no EGT problems, so Im thinking maybe I could go bigger than a 4? The next step up in the DDP sticks is a 200 hp injector, Im thinking it would probably be way to much? F1 has a little closer selection range. BTW, the truck is a HO so the pump might be a limiting factor as well. What do ya'll think?

The F1 injectors seem to be a bit more innovative. The DDP are, I believe, Jammer nozzles that have been honed out. II injectors are RV275's that are honed out.

The Jammer's seem to dyno 20+% below their advertised HP level, have more smoke and higher EGT's.
F-1's have always been right on, in my experience! The Mach 4's will tow well with twins and are as big as your HO pump can work with. You will still have to turn down the TST if towing medium or heavy, but, IMO the Smarty/TST/Mach 4 combo is a great all around set up for work, towing or playing hard.

I didnt know the DDP were reworked Jammers, but I love my F1's and dont really see a reason to change a good thing, I was just curious. And I guess I will go with the 4's, but, would I have a problem going bigger with my HO pump because I am thinking of swapping pumps in the near future? Like say a M5 or even 6? I know I might need to go bigger on the twins, but maybe down the road I might. I just dont think this smallish set of twins will cool that large of an injector? But then again, many people told me I couldnt run a 95hp stick towing on a stock turbo but I do all the time!

Yea right, DDP's are old technology. Thats why Scott "Big Bad Dodge" Vorhees ran them and Richard "Maddog" Madsen is still running them!

I've ran a set of dynomite mack60 and F1 mach 6. The dynomite sticks idled better and put out alot more smoke. These where Lenny's new design that he has ran 800plus ponies with a p-pump 24v, just on #2. Running my VP pump I would guess that I would be less power than the formula sticks. I don't know to much about them. I use the mach 6 daily and really like them.

I cant use a Mach 1.75 nozzle to make a Mach 4, so the cost is higher than going to a Mach 2.75 because it requires a new nozzle. Make sense? (:

Well thanks so much for the help guys, I think I might just go with the 4's. I love the F1's I own and cant see a reason to change anyhow! One last question, why do people always run the Mach 4 or 6, I barely ever see anybody with the 5's? Any reason for this? And could my twins cool this large of an injector?

We can upgrade anything from anything, but Jet is talking about upgrade costs. Upgrading 1 size is less cash than upgrading several sizes.

Would it pricey to Downgrade?

I believe the 1.6's, 4's and 6's have the newer technology.... advanced hole patterns, spray angles, and maybe hole cutting technique, etc. Subtle differences along those lines.
These changes produce better HP, less smoke and lower EGT's, if I correctly remember what Don said.
