D25's or Custom Suspension Products

Aight guys, cut and dry, between the D25s and the Custom Suspension.com 2" coils which one would get your vote? Also did you guys even worry about a shock upgrade? Is an add-a-leaf required or does it just set the truck level as is. Thanks.

I have the D25's, but I after reading about the Custom Suspension stuff, I would have gone that route had I known about them. I put shocks with a 2" longer stroke in. Didn't need a spring pack in the rear, as the truck sits level, front to rear (with the D25's). When the D25's wear out/I get bored of them/I get the money I will replace them with Custom Suspension parts (unless I get mucho dinero, then I will be going with Kore stuff).
I would like to drive a Custom Suspension equipped truck versus mine to see the difference.

I'd suggest Coil Spring Specialties over Custom Suspension....

From what I've heard, Custom Suspension takes their measurements off of the stock coil wire diameter. This doesn't take into account the number and spacing of the coil winds that set the spring rate.

CSS uses the stock tag numbers off of the coils and uses it to base the ride height and spring rate. I went 15% softer than stock and they work very well.

They also use a larger diameter wire than the D25 or the stock coils.

I'd second the CSS coils. I have had mine on now for about a month and love it. But I also upgraded to Bilstein 5100s in the front at the same time. The combo is great. I went with 2" taller and 5% softer. Ended up being around 2.75" taller after the install and the truck is level now... definitely NOT nose high. Would do it again, but maybe 10% softer instead of just 5%. I had the 38/39 combo of coils originally and STILL went softer.

anyone have a website for custom spring specialties? Any other front end suspension components required or just the coil springs?

Hey what did your pair of CSS cost? What about the skyjacker 2.5" that comes w/new upper and lower links and rear leaf-packs?

I believe CORed paid less than $190 for his...the only thing you'll need is longer front shocks.

The Skyjunker kit comes with the D25's. If you're only going 2.5", you don't need control arms and believe me, you don't want their add-a -leaf. I have them on my rear springs and they're WAY too stiff. I just haven't gotten time to get down to Deaver Spring to get the spring packs re-worked.

2.5" is basically a levelling kit anyhow, you don't need the AAL's unless you like that "stinkbug" look.
