Finaly got the fuel pressure gauge added into the mix. What I ended up doing is I cut the cup off the after market colume mount and trimmed it down to fit the top conture of the OEM colume cover and epoxied it on about dead center between the tach and speedo. By cutting the cup off the aftermarket base I was able to lower the gauge about 1/2" over using the complete gauge pod in its original configuration. Now the lit triad of autometers look uniform and quite frankly, where they ought to be, "in the huttle"! You will also see a photo of -6AN fuel fittings that I just finished turning 12x1.5mm treads on them. I intend to replace ALL 5 of the banjo bolts for these straight steel fittings. They started out as Earls -6AN x 1/4 NPT fuel fittings. The Earls Weber fittings like the ones Iv made up only come in aluminum and I sent them back because the necks on those are only .040 thousands thick (not to mention the 9 bucks apiece)! You could probable twist them off in the FIP with not much more than 20lbs on the torqe wrench. IMO, WAY WAY to flimsy for Diesel Hardware! When Im done with the fuel ine conversion I will post it. It will have a "clear line" air purge loop that will work off a marine ON/ON switch mounted in the fuse cover by the ABS control. This will activate the lift pump When AND for how ever long I see bubbles rushing thru the clear by pass line. Good By key bumpin BS!!
