cracked housing on block

its on a 97 dodge 2500 5.9l. the housing is cracked and its the housing that covers sll of the gears and cam. If any one has had to deal with this please get back to me. thanks

If it's what I think it is, do a search on "KDP" and you'll find a lot of info. In your case, probably bad.

yeah the case is cracked completely on op of it. the case is gonna run me 550 bucks. then again the truck does have 367,000 miles on it.

Make sure you get a new dowel pin from cummins and either tab it or use the upgraded timing cover. The KDP prevents the timing case from walking.
