A couple of gauge Questions

I ve decided on getting Autometer Ultralite gauges and I have a couple of questions, should I get electric or mechanical I know certian ones I have to get in electrical but I like mechanical ones better for the others where you have the choice between the two. Also is there a way to hook a tranny guage to a manual transmisson. Thank you for your help Brian

Fill in your sig (in user cp) so everyone can see your truck details.

I think most guys are using mechanical gauges. The Pyro will run off of an amp box, so I guess technically it's electric.

It seems that most people skip the isolator on a fuel pressure gauge and just run with a needle valve in line to snub the pulses and to have a way to shut the fuel off to the gauge if needed.

Cool, so you have no use for a trans gauge.
If you go a search on "Fuel Pressure Gauge" you'll see the isolator failures. When I ordered my gauges they recommended against running diesel into the cab, but I have heard too many success stories to worry.

Napa will have all of the fittings needed to put a needle valve inline to dampen the pulses from the injection pump and allow you to shut the line down if needed.

Not sure about a temp gauge on a manual. They make them for diff's, so......?
