Comp vs Drag Comp

I was wondering what the differences were between the two? What is the Drag comp Hp rated at? Also, How would a Drag comp compare to the EZ and TST stack? (or Mad ECM and TST) And while I'm at it can my comp be sent to Edge and reprogramed with the drag program? I'm asking because my buddy just put injectors in his PSD and can take me. I cant let that happen for long!

Thanks for all the info in advance,

ADAM

Drag Comp simply fuels to redline. Regular comp starts to fuel at about 2800 or so. You aren't going to see much horsepower difference on switching. Little bit more on the top end is all, but for racing that jokestroke it will help. For what its worth. I've had a version 7.0 and version 8.0 comps and on the dyno the 7.0 had 10 more HP. The 8.0 runs a little bit smoother though. 8.0 is the version i believe they currently selling. You wont notice much difference with an ez-tst stack. From what i hear about Mad ECM that will help down low. Which will be perfect if your running people stop light to stop light. Would make a nice stack. Good Luck

How would a Drag comp compare to the EZ and TST stack?

Let me quote myself again:

"I can honestly say there's very little difference in just a drag comp VS. the tst pm3 comp stacked over the drag comp in EZ mode -- I drove both of them (back to back) last month on my truck. With the 2 boxes stacked, the truck smoked a little more down low. However, the top end power was too close to the same to feel the difference between the two setups. Power comes on a little sooner with the tst box, but the same power is available with the drag comp. The tst box is HARSH and bucking is an everyday occurance. Not so with the Edge.

The biggest difference? Being lazy, the buttons on the drag comp are much easier to press and respond immediately. (pesky ricers beware.)

Edge 1, TST 0

I beleive the drag comp only keeps multipling fuel ratings after 2700 RPM on level 5 for the drag comp the other levels act the same as a regular comp.

I might be wrong and things have maybe changed since I last spoke to adam at Edge products.

I don't believe there is much difference between Drag Comp and EZ/TST (non-comp) stacked. Very similar-love my stack.
The TST Comp is a hole other story! I would expect the EZ/TST Comp to be stronger, as setting #5 on Comp is equal to #9 on non comp ....but as mentioned by Brandon...was not any stronger for him on his setup.
Don't think anyone mentioned...Your Comp can be sent in for upgrade to Drag Comp.

I had results about like Brandon. Drag Comp makes the same hp as a TST Comp/EZ stack just a lot more drivable in everyday use. I think I might have even gained a little hp but it was on different dynos so I am not sure. I certainly did not lose any power going to the Drag Comp. Tim

I think it costs about $100. Dont know how long as I ordered mine as a Drag Comp, but is just programming they can probably do it in 20 mins or less. If you air mail it you could probably have it back in a couple days. Tim

Just wanted to publicly say thanks Tim! It was with your recommendation that I finally switched to the drag comp. Hopefully I can run on the dyno in the next few weeks (the local dyno said 1300ft/lbs was too much for them) and prove the drag comp over the tst/ez on my truck.

brandon.

Brandon, no problem. It was Justin who loaned me his Drag Comp and convinced me. Goes around comes around. Tim
