Comp install question/lp Q
Comp install question/lp Q
Okay, just got my pyro, fuel press and boost gauges put on, 5 days AFTER I put the new vp44 on. Now that that is done, I have a comp sitting in the box from before the little $1000 mishap with the pump
My question is I am pretty sure that I have read on here that you can hook up the comp to act like an ez. No crazy power, just good power without piercing the wire. This pump has a year warranty providing the wire isnt' pierced. I am wondering what to and what not to hook up with the comp to run it this way.
also, without starting a new thread in the engine forum, with my friend's snap-on gauge on the schrader valve at the pump, it was reading 9psi at wot. This is a week before the pump went out. Just sitting, I have 15. Now, after the new pump I am getting down to 7 psi wide open (i mean really wide open, trailer on, 4th gear and turning it all the way out to defuel). It kissed 6 once. I am pretty sure I have read that damage occurs at 5 psi. Am I walking a dangerous line here and needing a new lp?

For the Comp just plug it in like the instructions say and dont pierce the pump wire and you will be running in EZ mode. As far a your FP I wouldnt be to comfortable at those levels. You probably wont hurt anyting with those #s but you dont have much room left for saftey.
