comp box wire tap?

comp box wire tap?

which wire do i tap. the instructions are not clear to me. the instructions say the inside wire?
is that toward the motor or the pump.
i have the wire hooked up know but i dont see lots of smoke or a big differance from stg3 to stg5

The wire that's on the top closest to the engine.

Ditto on what Bigblue said, top wire closest to the motor. If you have an auto from a stand still foot on the break put box in 5x5 and floor it. You should get a decent black cloud and the truck will take off normal for few seconds and then haul a$$. If standard do a hard launch or lug it in gear and see if you get smoke. If no smoke and or truck haulin in wot recheck the wire tap and all other conections. Some ppl have problems with the ground when its on the intake horn. Ground the box right to the negative on the battery. Make shure you follow the instruction when first setting up the box and gettng the lights to flash. i messed that up the first time had to unhook batterys and the redo the loading process.

Oh, one more thing, unless you've got a built auto or a good clutch, I wouldn't suggest putting the comp on 5x5 and stomping on it. You'll gut your auto or fry your clutch.
