Comp box/check engine light
Update
Well, finally had a chance to check the connections to the comp. I unplugged all connections and cleaned them with electrical connection cleaner and reinstalled the comp. Right off the bat as I started driving, the check engine light came on and I lost my tachometer and it revved up and down at the first stop sign. I put it in neutral and gave it some fuel to keep it from dying. While the tachometer was dead, the comp was not giving any extra power. Felt like stock. After a few stops at lights and keeping a higher idle, the tachometer started working and all was fine except the check engine light stayed on until later in the day. Once the tachometer started working, I had the comp power back.
Would a faulty MAP sensor cause this problem? What size socket is need to take the MAP sensor out? The prongs on MAP sensor itself were the only connection I didn't check.
