comp and 275s
I have a comp (no wire) and am about to install 275s, I,m worried about hurting my clutch , just wondering if I leave my comp on less agressive levels like 1-1 or 1-2 will I be ok. My logic is that if the comp doesn't kick in untill 15 or so pounds of boost or so that will mean my rpms will be up at that boost level and therefore the engine won't be lugging when the power comes on. From what I understand its easy to slip clutch in low rpms. Can anyone make sense of that and please tell me if I'm having a pipe dream. Thanks

Ha HA that was funny Sixpack , I guess all those guys that told me an ez and 275s "are a great ,safe towing combo" were full of it. I guess my next question now is ,the CON O or the CON OFE??????? Which one is better and whats their prices???
First you need to figure out how much hp will make you happy. After talking to Peter (South Bend) and Rod Snaith I decided to do the MU1947 Con O. I'm not looking to sled pull, drag race or have the fastest truck in town. I just wanted giddyup when pulling my 5r. Now tomorrow I'm installing a set of Don M's Mach 1.6's. That should keep me happy for a while.
Price wise there was a $200 difference, $700 vs $900 for the OFE. They're great clutches! Good luck, Phil
On edit: The Con O for the ETH is rated at 350hp/700ftlbs
The Con OFE for the ETHis 450hp 1000ftlbs
