vp44 replacement

ive been reading all of the yp deathes lately and i might be having one myself. When i was on peirs site the other day i saw the p7100 conversion kit for 24valves its 1437.00 does that include the pump to and everything need? if not what else would need to bedone to convert? If a vp is 1000 bucks why not spend couple hundred more for a p pump. Im not any kind of expert on this but im hopin to get some feed back on this and see if there any good reasoning here to do or not to do it. thanks guys

$1437.00 sounds absurd for a complete P7100 converstion!!

I am betting that the kit mentioned would only include the injection lines.

P7100 conversion also would need the injector pop off pressure reset in order to gain maximum efficiency.

There are only a handfull out there that have done the conversion, but hopefully the will chime in.

Ya I would think it was more too. But im just tryin to gather some info because if my vp dies i really dont wanna spend 1000 buck and have it die again at some point because i do have my wire tapped. Im still kickin my self in the butt for not buyin a 12er in the first place.

Someone posted they got theirs at cummins stuff in texas for 975 plus 400 core. I didnt see the core part of it, but I dont really consider 1000 to 1400 a real big difference.

A few years back Piers was doing the conversion for about $8000, this includes labor. Since then he recommends an engine swap as a cheaper alternative.
