If you are not wanting to do tranny upgrades, I would suggest the Edge EZ.

Both boxes do what they say they will do, and do it well.
The EZ is a simple hookup, and you can get away without gauges.
The Comp is a little more involved to hookup and should be used with guages.

--Justin

The PE EZ is a great first step. It will give your much improved response and raise your MPG. It is rated at 65 RWHP and 185 ftlbs of increased performance. 8)

The only problem with it is after a few months most of my customers want more. So then I usually add a set of Stage 1 or RV 275 injectors. This is a beautiful combo and is as far as you should go with the stock clutch / auto trans.

The PE Comp is also a great way to go. Although the 120/130 Hp gain is sometimes more than a stock clutch will hold. Also your Exhaust Gas temps can get out of hand without other modifications (AirBox / Exhaust). I highly recommend installing gauges if installing anything more than the PE EZ.

If you have questions that require a more indepth answer feel free to call me at my shop M-F 8-5 THX.

Kurt Yardley (KwikKurt)
Mild To Wild Diesel Performance inc.
Silver City NM
505-534-0434

Re:which chip is best??

if you want a chip and plan on paying 550 for and ez, you should just pay 100 bucks mor for the comp and do not connect the pump wire. then the comp is a adjustible ez. This way if you ever change your mind and want to go bigger you already have a good sized fueling box. I know because i started with and ez and said i wasn't going any farther, but i did and had to sell the ez for less than new and wish i started with the comp instead of the ez. Wes

Re:which chip is best??

I didn't know Dodges used "chips". Thought EZs and Comps were known as "boxes".

Re:which chip is best??

It seems that most members on here prefer the Edge products. I have not personally tried them but am VERY happy with my TST PM2. It works great with the stock clutch and if you can keep your right foot on the interior side of the firewall(I can't ;D), mileage doesn't seem to suffer. I have RV 275 injectors on the way and am curious to see how they work with and without the box. Will post comments since this is not the "average" setup.
