Just a heads up, check the bolts on the front cover of the injector pump gears. It's located on the front of the engine just behind the fan belt. Dad in law is a diesel mech. and just finished fixing one where the bolts vibrated loose, cover came off, dowel pin on the gear slid out and BAM! nearly 2 g's worth of damage (parts and labor). A 10mm wrench and two seconds can prevent this from happening. He said it's more common on 2nd gens and early 3rd's.

If you torque up the bolt properely as per the book and use red loc tight on the injection pump shaft threads, you shouldn't have an issue with the nut coming loose.
