Re-check/torque your bolts after lifting...

I know you guys are looking for carnage... But I thought I'd just remind you.

I had a very minor but annoying *thud in my front end going over bumps shortly after installing my lift after taking it down a few rough roads and jumping some curbs. I checked the bolts a couple weeks later to discover a couple of them loose. Nothing dangerous, just out of spec.

I torqued everything back down and put some locktite on the trackbar bolts (took about 10 mins) and my *thud is gone and the truck feels great.

Also the U-bolts needed some tightening, I was surprised at the slack they had in them... Again nothing dangerous.

So even if you had someone else do it don't forget to check them after some miles. Only took about 30 mins including pulling out my impact, sockets, and torque wrench.... And $5 for locktite.

Something similiar happen to me. I had a clanking noise and a wierd rubbing noise on my passenger frontside. After further re-inspecting the install. The bolt on the lower shock mount started to come back out. So it wasn't in all the way. Re-torqued it again and problem solved. Also at the same time I decided to put my Thuren Trac Bar on.

Yeah that's where mine was coming from I believe.

I would have locktited the shock but didn't feel like pulling it back out. One of the drop block bolts was a little loose too.

And to add the bolts weren't "loose" they just weren't tight enough and it caused some noise.... That's why I posted this.
