Cheapest 3GSK kit?

Today I changed the pre-filter, overflow valve and replaced the 4x4 solenoid for the 4x4 light.

I am tired of going down the highway @ 80mph and having the ability to get it to move quicker when needed.

I was curious to see who has the cheapest/most durable 3GSK kit.
And who is the nicest to deal w/?
Preferably I would love to support a smaller business rather than a giant.

W/ the 3GSK where can I expect it to stop pulling at (As far as RPMs go)?

Thanks

Go ahead and buy the 4k. Its worth it in my opinion. It's normally the same price as the 3k, and it will pull harder down low, and up high.

To be honest, your truck will probably stop pulling about 3k-3200rpm even with a 4k. The 160 pumps like to sputter anything over 3k rpm from everything i have experienced. I added a carter pusher pump to my truck, and that helped it a lot though.

I got mine for free. 3 clicks on the gov. springs and mine will turn 3400 rpms. It will turn 3k even goin down the track. I can't really say what it stops pullin at on the road i never tried it. The only thing is that the truck will idle at bout 1k rpms. Doesn't bother me but some people it may. jus my .02

Have you tried adjusting the idle back down and can't, or do you just not care that it's 1k?

The problem with cranking stock springs that tight is high high idle (like mentioned above), and the throttle becomes very touchy. You can't back down the idle screw that far because then you get into very hard starting unless you hold the throttle down.

Real spring kits are cheap enough....

No I haven't tried adjusting the idle back down any. I really didn't care that it was 1k because when I put it in gear at factory settings and after I bumped the idle up on it to about 750 give or take a few it would almost die when you put it in gear or try to turn the wheel at and idle. Thats why I really don't care that its at a 1k now because it doesn't do that any more. Not tryin to high jack a mans thread here.

You wont like the high idle if you ever go to a tight converter. It will tear the rear end out of it.
