Changing sway bar links

I want to change out sway bar links on my truck. Does it require removal of entire sway bar to get them off/on or can I replace them with the sway bar still mounted to the frame?

I would at least loosen the 4 bolts on the frame.

I dont recall having any problems doing it with the sway bar on the truck. I dont think I even loosened the frame bolts though that may very well be a good idea.
Depending on your mileage and condition you might want to go ahead and change the frame bushings at the same time which I did not since they didnt need it at the time but they do now. Apparently the 01s could come with more than one size. The biggest I have been able to find is 33mm but mine measures bigger like 35. Another thread poster mentioned the same thing he found some somewhere, though other posters said theirs were 33. I just havent made the time to follow up and find the correct size.

They're Mevotech (made in china) with greasable ball joints.
