Anyone know the answer to this? I'm mounting my CB to the trans hump. It's going to stand vertically between the center of the seat and the 4x4 shifter. I was thinking of just using self tappers to drill through the carpet/metal to hold the bracket in place. Does anyone know, are there any wires or anything under the carpet/pad I need to be aware of. Thanks for the help.

 

i welded up a little mount on mine in my 99 and just had a ~18" stinger that stuck under the middle seat. it never budged and i was able to pull it out without having to unscrew anything
