cant decide on the right tire

i just got a leveling lit off ebay and i want to upgrade my 285/75 to 315/75. Ive been thinking about the mickey thompson mtz, the kuhmo road venture m/t, nitto terra grappler, and the pro-comp XAT. Which tire is the best for a guy who drives a lot and also hunts a lot?

Thanks, Matt

did you look at cooper discover stt. I have ran them for the last 3 years and i keep putting them back on. With my 06 dodges i can get 30000 miles and that with pulling a gooseneck trailer a couple times a week. They are awsome off road.

Oh yeah I only got 25000 out of the terra grapplers in the situation as the coopers, and they dont do half as good off road

I have 315 MTZ's on one of my Dodges, I have over 40,000 miles on them right now. They are getting low on tread, but 40,000 miles on a mud tire, I'm not going to complain.

I have the Dick Cepek FCII's on my truck right now. I have always ran BFG's in the past. These tires are hands down the best tire I have ever put on a truck. In this pic they have about 15k on them.

DONT go with the Kumhos if you want mileage. Ive seen about 4 sets only make it to 12000 miles. I would look into Hankook RT03's. They seem to be lasting the longest for my customers. Girlfriend has 42000 on hers and will make it to winter. They have had a HARD life too.

so which one would be the best out of these two; mickey thompson mtz or cooper stt? What would be the average life for highway driving and a lot of backwoods hunting?

I literally signed on tonight to start this very same thread. Does anybody have any pictures of a cummins on the Cooper STTs. I think im going to go with those reading the above information and the price. kinda like to see what they look like. Can I expect to get 40000 miles with 35s. all highway and sometimes, rarely, towing like a 4000 lb boat

Do the 17" tire upgrade with the tire purchase. You'll benefit from the bigger brake upgrade next time you need them. 315/70R17s are pretty cheap as far as 17" tires go....

Just put a set of ST's on, if you would like a pic.

I have heard not so good things about the STT's Vs. people raving about the ST.

Dunno, time will tell.
