Hi Guys,

I have a canopy that I bought for my truck when new - different from the truck dealer. Anyway, the canopy has an inside light and a brake light that is above the rear door. I have never gotten around to connecting this up and would like to do so now.

Some time ago I seem to remember a previous post where someone else asked the same question - I did try using the search function, I haven't had any luck.

I know the connection is somewhere under the bed of the truck at the rear - does any one know for sure where it is situated and what it looks like.

There is a pig tail on the drivers side, in the harness between the frame and the spare tire. If it's still there, it should have a small white tag stuck to it otherwise look for a single wire handing out of the harness. If I remember right, the wire is white.

The tag should say CHMSL. The wire is there, just have to track it down.

Power for an interior light is up to you to provide. You could tap off the power in the trailer plug or run a line and tap of the dome light so it can be turned off and on through the factory light switch.
