Turbo swappin again! 12 or 14cm?

Hey all.
With my new DDP 150's im gettin pretty dang hot at the track (1625*) and a little hot while towin so Im lookin to swap to hold me over till compounds.
I have a 57/65/14 Super B right now, and a guy local is sellin his slightly used 62/65/12.

Im wonderin if the air I will gain from a 57 to a 62, will even matter cause I wont be able to flow as much droppin from 14 to 12cm exhaust housing.

What you guys think?
TIA, Ian

It would be hard to say without seeing how many cfm that other unit will flow. It wont be too much more. We flow 840cfm

If I stick with a 14 cm E H itd flow a good amount more though wouldnt it?
Relying on the idea that it also has good ETT wheels.

I talked to my local shop about just putting on a new compressor housing and 62mm wheel and they said... "on that turbo we'd have to swap out over half the parts and itd be around 900. Better off selling the turbo and going with a new bigger one."

Guys at Forced Induction told me that was BS and they could do it for like 300.

Who's jerking me around here!?

But remember the first question up top of this post please

I dont get this.. Ive been looking at compressor maps for the last hour.

How can a 57/65/14 flow 87 CFM (according to BD's site) and a Borg Warner 62/68/14 only flow 78 CFM?
Both are s300 made by Borg Warner both with Extended tip tech wheels.

I dont see how thats possible.
Anyone care to explain?
