how much can i move the factory plate and still remain safe EGT wise? also is removing the cat a good thing to do? i might make a CAI (cold air intake) aswell.

 

take the cat off ans slide the plate all the way....unless you pull a lot then just move it a little bit ;D<br>DM01

 

You can never be sure about EGT's unless you have a pyro. I thought I was OK with my little #8 plate slid .060 and no cat. I finally installed gauges and saw I could easily hit 1400* unloaded. I slid it back to stock and can still hit 1250*. I'm now a member of the &quot;BUY GAUGES FIRST&quot; club. They're a lot cheaper than melted pistons.

 

my friend has a set of isspro gauges, its a boost and egt together, it has the probes and stuff for it. he paid 275 for em i dunno what they are worth, brand new never used, a few years old tho.
