Calculating mileage with big tires

I have a set of 35/12.50's on and I was wondering how to get the correct mileage numbers. 26 gallons has been getting me 250-270 miles. There has been no speedo recalibration. Thanks for the help

Your old tires are roughly 31" tall (265/75/16 stock). (new tire size/old tire size)x indicated distance = real distance.

(35/31)x270 = 305 miles.
305 miles/26 gallons = 11.7 MPG

He said he's running 35" tires without a corrected speedo, so his actual mileage is higher than whats on the trip odometer.

Plug in your old, and new tire sizes and it will give you the correction factor.
