or the next time you go on a trip with someone ask them to see how many miles they record over the trip, then divide that by the number of miles you recorded and you will have the ratio of how many real miles to how many recorded miles you drive. For example, my truck has 35s and 3.54's instead of the stock tires and 4.10's. On a recent trip to the cabin my buddy recorded the mileage to be 130 miles while my truck only recorded 103. 130/103=1.26, so for every 1 mile my odometer records I have actually gone 1.26 miles. hope that makes sense.

OK, so wouldnt your calculation be the same for me? we both have 35s and 3.54s, so is it 1.26 miles for me also?
thanks.

you do it by percentage.

How many mile per hour is the speedometer off at say 60mph?

If it is say 5 mph. 55 is 9.1% different than 60 (speed doesn't really matter, just need one for a starting point).

so say your odometer gives you 20mpg take that times .091 and subtract from 20 for 18.18mpg

IDK, may be wrong, but is what I was shown one time.

ryan10, did you originaly have 4.10's? If so it would be the same ratio, or percentage, or whatever as mine, but if you had 3.54's stock than your ratio would be closer to 1:1.1
