built 180 vs 215

Im just throwing ideas around...im debating on building up my 180 pump or ditching it for a 215. my plan is to run a mild to big single, fairly large injectors and a few stages of spray. what do you all suggest?

Most people will say the 215 pump nut im pretty shure theres a few people who have have ditched the 215 and went back to an 180 pump mybe Bobcat will chime in. Ive heard the Piers pumps start out as a 160.

The stock 180 will provide plenty of fuel for probably 700hp or better on spray. Unless you are wanting major power, id leave it alone. But if you are set on doing one or the other, build the 180.

As I understand it, theres not much left of stock parts in a stoopid pump. 160 pumps are cheaper than 215's generally, so thats why they use it.

Ey chad, ya i know ur bros is a 180 but I didnt know if his was maxed out or what. From what Im hearing now sounds like the truck has more in it. I think my 180 is staying in along with some Winspeed tweaking. what ended up happening to bretts truck on the dyno?

Whos running 191s? what about lazer cuts?

If your going to "build" a pump short of going all out like a stupid pump why spend your $$ on anything but a 215, if the pump is coming off spend your time and $$$ on a 215!

don't bother ditching your 180 pump, it will be able to push the fuel you want, and deff, don't even need to have it taken off the truck either, basic things will get you the fuel you'll want.
