If competitive sled pulling with a bombed CTD is your plan, save for a full DTT transmission. They do a whole lot more than just change input/output shafts, converters and valve bodies. A built DTT tranny is a work of art and not easily duplicated by even an experienced rebuilder.

If you want all out performance, then buy a built tranny. If you want to daily drive it, pull it every now and then, and drag race some, then a built tranny should do you fine.
