Bought Smarty @ IRP / have questions

Hey guys I bought a Smarty at IRP on Saturday! Anyway the weekend was awesome, how about that way fast "U-haul" truck. LOL. Before installing the smarty software I took my comp box off to send back to Edge as its having some issues, I loaded up software #9 and fired that beast up. Smokes like a locomotive. Is there a problem with my lift pump only cycling for a couple seconds or not. The truck fires up and runs fine, but I'm thinking of the possible issues with refiring the truck after changing fuel filters. Didn't know if this was a big deal or not. The Smarty is awesome. Can't wait to get my comp back. We loaded it onto a friends dually that has the same injectors and a comp, it was unbelievable how fast his truck would spool and how hard it pulled. The only thing that has got my attention is the lift pump cycling time. Thanks

Completely normal for smarty software, if you bump the starter it will turn the lift pump on for 30 seconds or more.

Thanks JD, was hoping that would be the case. Next time I change the filter I'll bump the starter.

AAmeeting - Yes I did get the SMARTY from TST's booth. Saw that Performance Diesel Warehouse had them where you could download the software for a demo, and then they would mail you one. I have heard to much about them to wait. We loaded sw #8 on friends red dually, 5 speed with 100 horse injectors, comp box, and a stack. She would black out 465 on the way back home. This thing was an animal, the bad news for him is that the dually is in the barn getting ready to be torn apart. We loaded smarty on Saturday, he lost gears 3-5 on Sunday morning. But is was a hole lot of fun. Made him mad after loading software I told him that he should line up against something that he should be able to run a comparable time against, dropped the line "maybe we can see if you can race the u-haul. If he beats you I'm gonna ride home in a real truck." A guy from Full Throttle Performance, I believe, handed up a beatin' courtesy of his black short bed dodge. All in all it was a blast. AAmeeting I'm from around New Castle, if you want to try out the smarty let me know. We can throw it on your truck, you'll want it after that. TRUST ME....IT'S BIT^&IN
