How much H.P. ?

Right now I have RV275 injectors with a Van Aaken V5, how
much H.P at the rear wheels am I making. Someday I will
stack the TST PM3 with it , with this stack will I make
over 350 H.P. at the wheels ? I need to know because
I am going to order my Southbend Friday. If I will stay under
350 H.P. with the TST / Van Aaken stack I want to go with the
Southbend "O" clutch and save the $100.00 for the install

I would say get the OFE, I would think you would be close to 350 with the stack, and considering you tow. Better to spend a little more (only $100) and have more clutch than you really need. IMHO

I don't know much about the VA V5 but I'd go ahead and get the OFE if I were you. That way you know you'll be covered when you put the TST in. As a matter of fact, I'm going to pull out my OFE in a couple weeks. It has only been in 6 months. I can make you a deal on it if interested. I'm going to go with a double disk. PM if you do have any interest. Either way, I'd go with the OFE whether you buy mine or go new as it is a smooth clutch but holds extremely well. I think you'll be in between 350 and 400. 275's are worth 40hp, VA- I'll guess and say 60, then another 100 or so for the TST. If you are stock at the wheels at 200 hp, then you'll be close to 400.

Good luck, Matt

always go more than you need, when you feel the power of 375hp/800tq at the wheels, you will want more. go bigger, the OFE is still a clutch you can tow with...i wouldnt go as far as the FE because that can get grabby on you while towing.

if you want to still be able to tow with 400+ hp i would strongly suggest a DD...which is what i will have some day

As recommended look into the OFE, the Con-O is a good clutch but if you add anything else it will be toast.

I also agree, go for the OFE

I have it and it is fairly smooth. Seems to be getting better too as it breaks in.

The only time it is grabby is when backing a trailer when you tend ride the clutch or at least get on and off. It tends to jerk. If you bring the Rs up to a 1000 RPM it is fine.

Same with 2nd gear launches. Bring it up to 1000 RPM and its smooth.

Keep in mind, this is with 35s and 3.55s on a 6 speed.

My pedal effort is down quite a bit too, and that is nice for traffic.

I think a VA and RVs, you might barely make 300 hp.

If you wish to do nothing else, then the O would be fine, but IMO, for as smooth as the OFE is, just get it.
