Both pumps quit...

So after all the work on the truck this winter (see signature) we just returned from 12 days in eastern Oregon....and one tow. The guy who put the pusher pump on in parallel with the lift pump pinched through the power wire.....Truck dead towing the 5th wheel in the middle of the road with no sholder. With two dead pumps, I would have thought the injector pump would continue to pull fuel....at least to get me to a pull out.....But I gues not.

Question: Does the same power wire the controls the lps control the Injector pump?

Home and happy.

No it doesn't. I'd bypass the lp all together if you can. I hate that darn thing.

Normally the injector pump will pull enough fuel to keep it running.

Sometimes though, the lift pump crashes in such a way as to block fuel,
so the injection pump can't pull the fuel through it.

If the pusher was hooked in true parrallel, it should have still pulled fuel, unless the pusher doesn't pass fuel when it isn't running.

No, the LP and the IP don't share the same power hookup.
