Ok, I see someone did this mod on '96 and the wires are the same color, so i am assuming they will be on my '97 too. That's the good news, now for the question........ What about those of us with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) does anyone know if it'll work with them? Anyone done it?
TIA

This mod has nothing to do with the DRL's - they will function normally........

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. I did something like this on the F##d I had and the low voltage from the DRL was causing relays to constantly latch/unlatch, so had to remove the DRL module.

Rattle...or others

I'm confused. Are the relays needed or just nice to have?

Signed, Electrically challanged

No, the relays are just are just a harder more expensive method to achieve the same goal

The relays are not required for the setup to function properly but RR used some to take the load off the head light switch and provide less of a voltage drop to the bulbs........I did RR's set up and it works fine without relays but I am going to install a relay inline on the high beam circuit near the lights to give me piece of mind and minimize the voltage drop on the high beams for hopefully even brighter lights.

How long have you had it run on the '97? Same color wires?

Just done it today, but rattle_rattle says he has done it for over a year. Yep, same color wires. With a test light it works just like he said. I've also got my fog lights where they stay on all the time when the switch is out. The lights on these dodges leave alot to be desired. If anything goes wrong I'll tell ya.

Thanks for the update. Going to get it done as soon as I get some warmer weather. Probably do the fog lites at the same time...... Did you just cut the pin off the relay? Seems the easiest, if I can find thee right relay! 8>)

Bobcat, have you ordered this kit? Just wondering what the quality is like, since there's no picture. Thanks.
