Talked to a local guy and thinks its the wastegate

Opinions on if its worth it to try a different wastegate?

get yourself a small air regulator with a air gauge on it and check the wastegate for travel and if it leaks. should have full travel by 25 psi , I would also check for restriction at the inlet to the lift pump, but usually that flags a fault code 368 in Cummins f.c. , but I have seen it before where there is no F.C. and major problems. same with boost sensor, no faults but run it on the dyno and boost sensor is doing weird things but not logging a fault.

Found it!

Intake manifold gasket is leaking. The long plate under all the injector lines.

Dealer ordered the part. Is going in the shop Wednesday.

Is this common?

Had to crank the air compressor up to 25 lbs to find it!

Just curious here... you mentioned that you can only spool to 15 to 20 Psi, but it took 25 Psi on the air compressor to find that small leak..... Does this make sense to you?

Yes, because I kinda skipped around

I originally only had 10 lbs in there, pushed in from the turbo side.

Then I put 25 lbs in, but pushed it in from the manifold plug that my boost gauge was in.

I guess I could of found it with 20 lbs probably. But it really bubbled with 25 lbs

I'm confused Why would there only be 10-11lbs after you put in the stock elbow, but you were seeing much higher with the elbow. If it didn't leak until you gave it 20lbs, you should be able to get it much higher than 11. I'm thinking VP too!

What I was trying to say, is that if there was a leak large enough to cause a 600+ CFM HX35 turbocompressor to be down from 30+ Psi boost to 15-20 Psi, then the leak would be so large that your air-compressor wouldnt even be able to build 1 Psi against that leak, let alone get to 25 Psi and all you see are "bubbles". It would be leaking out faster than your air compressor could ever hope to make it up.

Trust me, if you were able to create 25 Psi in the intake system with your air compressor, and you have a little bubbling boost leak, that leak is not the reason you are down over 10 Psi of boost.
