when i do a boost launch my tranny hunts for gears during the first 2 gears. the tranny is brand new. it is a goerend tranny with 3d tc, billet input and output, extra strong clutches, etc....funny thing is my old tranny would do the same when i would do a boost launch. once it shifts into 3rd all is good. any idea what this could be?

 

Are you sure it's hunting and not the torque management rearing it's ugly head??

well it shouldnt be. i have the bd rad switch turned on.

 

I went through the same thing with a friends truck it would start to spin and shift second get traction and downshift again very rapidly, resetting the apps helped quite a bit other than that you might have to chenge the shift point on the vb by 25 rpm or so to keep it in gear a little longer

 

not trying to steal the thread but is my trans hunting too when it lets the truck basicaly stay at redline until it shifts?
