On an HY35, Why couldn't you cut the steel line from the turbo output to wastegate, and install some kind of boost controller, instead of using a turnbuckle? That way, couldn't you still have an operating wastegate at a higher boost level instead of it being closed all the time?

 

Its aready been done , theres a needle valve that some people added to fine tune there boost , do a search here and you'll find out about it and somebody selling them.
