What is it? Is it good or bad? What readings should gauges be showing for good scenerios?

 

Boost is gooooooood!!! For the most part, more boost equals more air. More air needs more fuel and that means more power. You can get too much boost though. I believe your '98 auto has a HX-35 turbo. Anything more than about 38 psi would be bad boost. You would just be pumping hot air into the engine past that point. I am not familar with the predator, so I do not know if it has a boost fooler or if it adjusts fueling and timing of the fueling.

When your truck is stock, you will throw a code if yo exceed the factory boost limit. Probably around 20 psi. If the predator has a boost fooler, it will let you exceed that limit. Cruising down the highway you should see 8 to 10 psi.
