OK...i posted on this about 3-4 months ago and the last thing that was said was, &quot;somebody needs to get on that&quot; well, now im wondering if anyone actually did. The question was why dont turbo diesels run a blow-off valve like turbo gassers? i looked around and found that a major company that makes blow-offs for gassers also makes one for diesels<br> HKS diesel blow off valve<br>well, now my question is, why doesnt anyone have it????

 

Because we don't have a throttle body that snaps shut like the gassers do. therefore not really needed. We do bark our turbos I guess, so maybe it would get rid of that but I have never heard mine bark anyhow.<br><br>Why do you want to run a BOV anyhow?

 

Imagine what 35+psi would sound blowing off. That's why. Cause it would be to cool. Maybe if I have the extra money sitting around one day I'll get that.

 

that is the only reason i can think of for wanting one. so $500 for alittle chirp.....but man thats a sweet sound ;D

 

yeah, I posted on it a while ago too, I think the maqin reason for it is to get quicker sppol up, since there would be no resistance to slow down the turbo.
