Bigger Banjo's.

I have been researching posts on this site concerning the benefit of larger banjo's. My goal is to increase my fuel pressure by a few pounds without breaking the bank. Some posts say that bigger or drilled banjo's helped with the fuel pressure and some say it made no difference. What can I really expect to see if I were to purchase the banjo kit or drill my banjo's? Is it worth it?

Why do you need more pressure? The VP 44 if I remember correctly can be damaged with too much pressure. More flow will be better because the unit is cooled by excess fuel.

With the original stock lift pump and the mods shown in my signature, I'm getting the following fuel pressures with Ray's banjo bolts while towing our 13,500 lb 5th wheel:

Idle = 16+ PSIG (16 PSIG gauges are pegged)

70 MPH Cruise = 15 PSIG

WOT = 11-12 PSIG

If your staying where you are, HP wise, Banjo bolts will do nicely as Rusty said.
I added Rod's Max Flow System after adding a TST PM3 and can not pull below 10 PSI at 400+ HP. Idle also = 16 psi.
Believe Rod sells either Banjo's or Fuel lines & Banjos. Even at stock, I believe these add-on help reduce wear & tear on L.P.
Call him for better explanation than I can give.

For the extra in cost, just get the Wildcat Max Flow system.

I just installed mine today and here are the results......

With Rod's high flow banjo's

Idle 17psi
Cruise 12 psi
WOT 6 psi

With Rod's Max Flow System

Idle 17psi
Cruise 15psi
WOT 12 psi

I hammered on it for awhile today and could not get the FP below 12 psi no matter what I did. And it only took 2 hours start to finish to get it all installed.

Spend the extra and go for. Down the road when you want to turn the power up again, your going to have to upgrade anyways.

Just my .02!!

I have to agree the money you spend is better spent increasing the size of the lines. I have the equivalent of the ROD'S Max Flow system & it is the FIX of FIXES.
