That al depends on if you have a stock or aftermarket turbo, the valve springs you have, the cam you have, exhaust, intake, programmer, downpipe, injectors, transmission upgrades, torque converter, valve body, etc. etc. You get the idea. You can make as much hp as you want as long as you have the adequate fuel you need going to the VP44 IP. If you get a Glacier system and big line kit or a FASS system or the like, the possibilities are somewaht endless if you have the right mods and enough $$$.

biggest? upwards of 700+

Call doug he will tell you how to get there

However there are a lot of guys on here that dump big bucks into their vp44'd truck and not even breaking 500.

IMHO, if you want a sledpuller, get a 12 valve

Yup, if you want a puller go 12 valve. you can get the RPM and fuel out of them with less work and no electronical headaches.

Thats the smartest thing

uve said the whole year.. Anyways, Brian is right here, some VP powered rides dont respond as well, as some 12 valves do, BUT there are a handful of 24 valve second gens in the 650-700 horse range out there without Nitrous, they do mod well tho,

BUT i perfer my P pump over a VP...

The common rail IMHO, will definately be the biggest threat to the P pumped trucks now..

I have to disagree. If you are talking the Modified diesel class, then yes a 12 valve is the only option. If you are talking the street class with a single charger the hopped up 12 valves and 24 valves run neck and neck. Both have advantages and disadvantages. If you want to get a P-pump to compete with the hot 24 valves, you will need a race pump.

Are you running brush pulls, or DHRA rules?
