Big H.P. Numbers w/ TST and Bully Dog
Big H.P. Numbers w/ TST and Bully Dog
I need to know what setting to put the two on for most power!!! Just got all the work done and got the motor back from Scheid and don't know best settings. It's a 2003 h.o. 6 spd. bored .020, Arias pistons w/ valve relief, Scheid high lift cam, Scheid 60% injectors, fire ringed w/ 14mm studs, Scheid custom twins (BIG) non-wastegated, new 100 PSI boost gauge, etc.....
but now I can't find the right combo but need to know fairly quick. Please Help!!

2whistlers, The only way to check power is to get on a dyno. Trust me that no one on here has that setup. Are you still stock on the injection pump or have you upgraded to stage 1 or stage 2. Fuel supply is the limit. Do you have the adjustable timing TST. With a custom cam the adjustable timing is probably needed. If you were near TST they could put you on their dyno and make mods till you were cranking. I'm in the middle of a big mod session as we speak. I don't plan on running over 75 psi so I didn't get fireringed ... yet. My spare head is going out next week for a jenny craig session. ks
Help!!
I know nobody will have the exact setup as this but someone with these boxes and injectors could comment and possibly give some feedback. I know the cam will make a difference but I need a good baseline. I've got a real good pusher pump but the CP3 is stock for now. You can't always afford everything you want the first time your motor goes to Scheid! And as stupid as this may sound, what is the twins program? This I am assuming does not have that programming because this was one of the very first ones out. This was one that was recieved while on the waiting list for TST to make the product. Any help would be great!!!!
On a stock CP3 the best settings for race are Crazy Larry on BDDL and the TST on something like 4/1 on the TST. This is not daily driving settings as there is much too much timing involved. Do You need to get your TST updated to have adjustable timing. With a high lift cam the timing is probably advanced on injection so you need to minimize the timing the TST gives you. You have a set that will rock once you can maximize fuel and control the timing of the injection. You have to quickly get on a dyno for 10 or so runs. I was dynoing with another truck last week and it took 20 runs to get it set to kill. 732hp. ks
