BG Synchroshift in a NV4500 ?

Anyone have experience or opinions on using BG Synchroshift in a NV4500?

I just had the clutch changed along with a new input shaft seal replaced.
The shop is a fan of and used BG Synchroshift synthetic oil in the tranny.
Their shop truck is a hot rodded 24 valve and they swear by the BG product.

I understand the spec is for Castrol Syntorq.
Thoughts on the BG product?

I think BG has a guarantee, so if it kills your synchros, let them rebuild your box.............

My bet is the BG Synchroshift is just rebadged Castrol Syntorq LT.
If it isn't I wouldn't use it.

I would be cautious to use anything but OEM lube. I also heard that Amsoil replicated the Castrol Syntorque recipe. Cant say whether or not thats true either. Remember that you can get the same OEM lube from GM as you can from Dodge. Its about $20-25 a quart but everything is almost that expensive anyways. Is saving $30-40 worth risking a tranny rebuild?

$52 for 5 quarts of Castrol Syntorq here> http://www.blumenthalmfg.com/
You have to call to order it. Shipping was free last time I bought some.
Last time I checked the dealer wanted $22/qt

Next time I need some, I'll get you to buy it for me. I bought 5 quarts from the dealer last month for $140. Best place I found online was about the same when you factored shipping. I could tip you $2 a quart, cover shipping and still come out ahead.
