Better headlights
The lights on my truck are not what I would like them to be, specially on low beam. Does anybody know of any really bright lights that I could install in place of the fog lights? If they have the capability for high and low beam all the better. Of course I would have to install an aiming device but that should not be too big a deal.
Are there any better bulbs in lieu of my existing headlamp bulbs? Ones that will not melt everything.
I expect to be in San Antonio, Tx in a couple of weeks and that would be the best place for me to see them and purchase them. No, I will not be going top Pep Boys. I can order and have them shipped if they come from some strage place but am reluctant to do that unless I know with absolute certainty that they will fit and do the job.
Your expert help would be appreciated. Again!

Hey Stan!

Give this link a shot:

www.lightforceusa.com

I've had a couple customers install them, and they thought they were amazing. Full adjustable between wide angle and pencil beam, multiple lens covers for varying road conditions. Good warranty, and tough as nails.

I'm not sure if they have a dealer close to you or close to where you need one, but they are worth a shot.

Rod

Rod, thanks for the info. Am waiting for info from Lightforce.
Dodgeram, thanks also. Will decide after I receive the info I am waiting for. Gillam? Wasn't that the place for the famous glider? No wait, on second thoughts that was the Gimli Glider. Or has my memory let me down again?

I run the Sylvania SilverStar's also. Don't know where you bought yours 02dsldog, but mine only cost me about $55. I think (getting older and can't remember things) I bought them at Distinctive Truck in Columbus Ohio. They do have a web site. AND YES, THEY ARE A LARGE IMPROVEMENT.

DuaneW.
Re:Better headlights
Sounds like these light sources need to go into a general info file somewhere for future reference. This is good info especially for those of use with older eyes that need brighter light or more memory or, uh, wait, I forgot what I was saying....
