I would definitely start with gauges. Doing mods and towing without gauges is a recipe for disaster. I know what it is like, I'm 17 and have to worry about making truck payments before mods. You've got to take safety measures befor you can start modding. I've got gauges, and the tranny is next. After that it is cheap power. The most expensive part is getting the tranny. Anyway, that's my take o it, gauges, tranny, then something like a comp box.

Good luck, and if you have any extra $$, I'm always accepting

save your bucks and plan on a tranny, an investment there will opent he door down the road to improvements, if you prematurely bomb the thing with out the proper drivetrain mods and monitoring equiptment you might as well plan on taking out a second loan to keep the thing on the road.

2500, when doing tranny mods, keep this in mind---- you do not have to put in a new torque convertor to get it to hook up. I put a shift kit & raised the line pressures in my truck. I got over 150,000 miles on this mod before my torque convertor went out. This tranny mod won't break you if you know a reputable tranny shop in your area that knows how to build your valve body for you. Check around your area to see who builds the best trannies & start there. Do the guages next, then do the power.
