BD short throw

anyone running the bd short throw shift kit on the 5600? how are they?

Sorry not on a 5600 but have one on my 4500 and love it, shorter throws and it positions the handle closer to you.

I got one in my 4500 as well. Much nicer with a single disc clutch. With the dual disc, I prefer the standard shifter.

I've got one i my 5600 and Love it!!

Shorter throw and bring the shifter closer to you. A nice modification.

Tate, why do you prefer the standard shifter with the dual disc? i was planning to put this short throw in when the dual disc went in.

With the clutch I have in the 24v (3600# lever style plate), it takes a good bit of force to get it into gear. Shorter throw means even more force. The DD I have in my 12v would probably be ok with it, since it has the newer diaphragm style pressure plate, shifts close to stock. I thought about swapping from one truck to another, but I've got a G56 to go into the 12v, so I'll leave well enough alone for now.
