BD auxillary lift pump
BD auxillary lift pump
I am thinking of buying the BD aux lift pump in conjunction with my intank (mfg warr) one. Anyone have any thoughts. I am not looking to push a ton of fuel. Maybe someday some mach 1.6s. Anybody have input on this decision.
I thought the in tank was not compatible with a pull type pump due to the open discharge of the in tank pump back to the tank. The idea being that the aux pump would pull air from this port pushing air through your system. That's why most setups like this are forced to use a "draw straw".
I know this is the usual recommended method of getting by the in tank pump. At least on the 2nd gen stuff like mine.

My BD kit worked well while I had it. Good fuel pressure with it for reasonable $. Bullydog also makes a nice kit. There are plenty of ways to configure a pusher system including making your own with a relay.
I pulled mine out when I put a cam in and the mechanical 12v lift pump. I wanted a truely bulletproof system.
