Bass

Now I think I will have some bass. I already have the MTX Thunderform box and I just bought the JL audio stealth box for the center seat. Anyone have this done? How does it sound? TIA,

Paul

Are you planning on running both the MTX and the JL at the same time?

Not sure on the processing you have but if all your subs are not the same the results are usually negative. It take some serious processing to give each size sub its own frequency (not that it cant be done ) and if they try and play the same then one can cancel out the the others sound wave. I guess its worth a try but I didn't see any positive gains with any of my experiences. Good luck

ratsun is correct think of it like this if one sub is weaker then the other or even turned off all together it will absorb some of the sound waves from the other sub but at the same time this is being a little **** because infact 2 subs will be louder than one and will produce more bass then just one so have fun and why not stuff a 3rd one in there some were more is better..

Ratsun is correct so try to use as many similarities as possible. Try to avoid different amps for different subs.

If you already have it try it...it may be better but it may not be the best for 2 subs... if your planning or piecing together;

The ideal way is to have
1) large enough single channel amp or bridged dual channel and have the subs in parallel
2) have both subs the same type/size/make
3) both enclosures are same volume (shape is not as important)
4) Don't have one sealed box and one ported

Have fun

You can run the subs however you want, just be sure they are not wired out of phase with eachother since this will make one hit when one is returning and they can cancel out part of each others sound instead of propagating the original wave with constructive interference.
JT's way is fool proof but expensive since you can get unmatched subs so much cheaper.
