Banks twin ram air?

What are your opinions on the banks twin ram air intake? Is it a mod worth the money. What kind of results are you getting from this mod? Thanks input is needed.

I had the banks power pack put on years ago, I have no complaints, it wasn't cheap. I'm at 335hp, works for me. I'm sure some guys will comment on getting as much or more for less money.

I've heard that about the 24v high ram intake from banks, but I've heard most gain power on the 12v's.

I had a thread on it and got pretty bad reviews

I guess folks with twin turbos are still running the stock intake and seen no gain with the banks

it is a bit pricey also

just what Ive heard in the past here @ DTR I did a little research and opted out on it .

With the Twin High Ram Air. You will have more volume of air going into the motor. Its really hard to feel the difference. me personally I wouldnt waste money on it but some people say that actually work. I have installed quite a few of them and I think they just allow you to have a few (maybe1-2) more psi. EGT's stay the same. Throttle response says teh same. Turbo is lil louder. But personally I wouldnt get it. But thats your choice.

Hope this helped a lil.

As Blue stated above, they are different critters with respect to the 12 versus 24 valve engines.

From what I understand as well, you got 12 valves get it. You got 24 valves, don't.

FWIW - I didn't on my 99 and won't on this one either.

I'm going to tell you to read this from a year ago. you might also search a little in the past there have been numerous discussions about Banks products

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...light=twin+ram

Don M goes into detail on this and hits it right on the head

Thanks for everyones input I will stay away from the twin intake. If you really look at it 3x the price of a #10 plate and no big advantages. Thanks all again.

twin ram

I think you would be better to spend your money on a ats exhuast manifold and a #10 plate!

Well, I'm pretty pleased with mine. Not too long after I had the banks power pack installed I had engine problems. Yes the kdp problem. It took some talking but the repair was covered by the warranty thats to a great salesman that went to bat for me and a great dealership that I have now purchased four vehicles from.
