Gentlemen -<br><br>Well, let me wade in here..I have a complete Banks kit, and have been very satisfied with it. It has performed as advertised. It was expensive, this much is true. It has not given me any grief or reason to curse it, and that says alot. Now, I have reached a point where I want more. I am removing the Banks box to let Rod & Rick turn it into silly fast...I am sure they're expertise will be just as good as anything I've had from Banks, probably better. I know the TST powermax3 and EDM-3 injectors will take me where I want to go. That being said, I wll say the Banks stuff did what I wanted it to do, when I was looking that way. Now I know better..

They do have the fastest diesel truck from what I hear. They were in Louisville with it in Feburary.<br>I also think the service is ok. I have dealt with worse. They should visit with Rod and see how things should <br>be run. ;D<br><br>Price!!!!! Well nothing is cheap, so keep looking until you find $$$$$$ that you want to shell out. Banks<br>is a big name in this country.

I bought and used the Banks "Stinger" exhaust setup and their intercooler on my early '91 Dodge 250 - at the time, I think they were about the only ones supplying coordinated systems for those trucks - the stuff went on easy, and provided a substantial power increase, as observed in towing our RV... I had some questions for them during the install, and they were extremely prompt and thorough in their response - and courteous to boot. As far as price was concerned, it was clearly marked - and if I didn't like it, no one held a gun to my head forcing me to buy it.<br><br>As far as warranties are concerned, anyone thinking they can make serious changes to their vehicles without endangering various portions of their warranties is living in a dream world - and I don't really see Banks as being particularly any more misleading in that area than many others selling similar products.<br><br>And those claiming or thinking the Magnussen-Moss bill provides any practical degree of consumer "protection" against warranty denial in use of questionable aftermarket power enhancements are also simply fooling themselves - make significant power increases with aftermarket stuff, and begin the chant:<br><br>"I am my OWN warranty station"... ;D ;D ;D

Gary, thanks for pointing that out for folks.<br><br>You want to play, be prepared to pay.<br><br>I give a very odd look when someone asks me if adding a TST Powermax or Edge box, EDM Mach 5 injectors or similar etc if their warranty is still intact. :

I suppose this is getting slightly off the thread topic - but it is somewhat related...<br><br>It can be a tough choice, deciding whether we want to make changes to our vehicles to make them more suited to our own specific wants and needs - with the knowledge or suspicion that the changes we'd like to make will endanger or void the warranty - many owners suffer along with significantly LESS of a vehicle that they really want and could easily obtain, all to protect that precious warranty.<br><br>For some, limited finances make that choice an absolute necessity - but I figure, the dern truck is MINE, *I* paid for it, I know what I want and expect from it, and am not ABOUT to wait 5 years or 100,000 miles to obtain the truck I *really* wanted when it rolled off the lot... 
<br><br>I refuse to be held hostage by a dern warranty! <br><br>Yeah, that decision and choice MIGHT cost me some extra $$$$ somewhere down the line - but will be VASTLY offset by the extra 5 years and 100,000 miles of GRINS I enjoyed along the way in MY truck! ;D ;D ;D

That's how I am. Although I didn't pay for my truck, I didn't really have any other choice. I wanted something fast but my mom said I had to have a truck (and not a Ford Lightning). So I figured I'd get the biggest, loudest, noisest truck I could get. Boy, did my parents regret letting me get my truck. ;D Back to the point, the truck wasn't what I wanted, so I've had to make certain, how can I put this, additions, to my "perfect" truck. Oh well. To my parents, a vehicle is nothing more than a mode of transportation. To me, it's who I am. It's my identity.
