BANJO BOLT QUESTION

is it possible to drill the stock banjos instead of buying new ones?? (i aint cheap im just wondering) if so, is their any problems, cautions, what will it blow up, etc...

Barracuda, yes you can. The caution would be the steel chips inside the drilled hole. You would have to do a very GOOD job getting them out, after you cross drill. But that is not your, point of least restraint. I have noticed that on my 01.5 the fuel line after the filter where the banjo bolt goes (looks like a donut with a small tube coming off) that tube had the smallest hole on my system .168 of an inch I.D. that is less than 3/16. I was concerned about that. I took off the complete system and redid it from the VP-44 back to the tank. 6AN ss steel braided lines. OverFueled

I drilled mine out to 3/16&quot;, I still run a stock lift pump and I am at 16 at idle and WOT I can only bring it down to 7 PSI.<br><br>I know its not perfect fuel pressure, but its not bad either!<br> <br><br>--Justin

Use the De Walt drill bits with the little pre-tips on them, these help alot.<br>Also use a drill press if you have one available, be sure not to overheat the bits.<br>These little banjos are hard.<br>Make sure to remove all burs on the inside and outside.<br><br>--Justin

Just did mine at work as we speek ;D 3/16 in the ones from the lift pump forward and 7/32 at the VP-44 ;D<br>spend most of the time just cleaning them up though
